Royal Wedding

I'm really looking forward to the
Royal Wedding
on Friday.
If the UK do anything well it's pomp and ceremony
and Friday will have plenty of that!

DD Hope and I will have front row seats
in the sitting room,
with cucumber sandwiches
and fairy cakes.

I laughed out loud at this
alternative version of the day
and thought I'd share it with you....

Will you be watching on the Big Day too?

Yes! I will be watching!

My husband is comparing all the pre-nuptial goings-on to a sporting event. Lots of speculation! Lots of coverage. It's the World Cup of nuptials, right?

Hello Sweetie

YES I will be there box of tissues to the ready just in case.

Loved the U Tube film - those lookalikes are VERY good. Especially Camilla.

Friend is coming over for Tea and Cake - might just add some cucumber sandwiches too. I have a vintage silver tea set, that has got to be polished up for the event.

Unfortunately our tellie does not work for us at the cottage so we will be forced to listen to it on the radio either in The Tank (BBC) or indoors (CBC). It is all the talk here in the commonwealth LOL. j

The video is great, I don't like T-mobile as a concern, but they make some great videos. I'm still thinking about whether to watch or not! Hugs, Valerie

Here comes the grumpy one stomping around going MEH! Just call me Mrs Meldrew - I'll be doing my utmost NOT to watch it, am so tired of it already. Am not anti-royal or anything just not really bothered by them and can't stand that EVERYTHING is centered around it at the mo.

I'll prolly be in the back room here with my sketch books and my classes. My Dad is trying to hint about going to a street party. Crowds. People. Hot. Sweaty. Drunk people. *shudder*

Ok, am leaving, you may spray the air with anti-grump mist now :P

p.s I did like the video though - if you could promise it would be like that I'd be tempted.

Oh geez, is that Friday already?! I'm sure I'll be watching some. :0) Event of the year, isn't it? xo

I'm considering it but that means I have to wake up at 4:00am to see it. Then I will have to go to work very tired but at least it's a Friday. I don't want to miss out on the fun!

Oh my goodness, I
laughed when I saw
that Youtube video!!!
Wouldn't it be nice
to think of the royals
of really being this way
and having this sense of
humor?? I just love it.
I also love your take on
watching it on TV as "front
row seats!" I'm going to
have to copy you and grab
a scone and my own front
row seat for the big event!

Will watch if I wake up in time. Some of my friends are setting their alarm clocks, and one group (of middle-aged women!!) I know of is having an all-night slumber party (emphasis on party, not slumber ;-0)

Your ATC of Queen Elizabeth in younger days is so pretty. The whole royalty thing is a bit of a mystery to us Americans, but the appeal of all the grand ceremony is infectious!

The T-Mobile video is wonderful fun!! Thanks for sharing!
