Cally-Cat is here!

Please put your hands together and give a
big bloggy welcome to.....

Cally-Cat!!

I collected Cally on Friday afternoon,
and we all fell in love with her immediately.

She's 16 years old
(a little older than we originally thought)
and came with a case of medication
to control her poor liver function,
and hyperthyroidism,
antibiotics to keep infection away
following extensive dental work,
and also homeopathic tablets to keep her
bright and happy.

She is an absolute darling;
she has such a pathetic miaow
which, of course,
ensures LOTS  and LOTS of cuddles.
She clearly forgets what she's doing sometimes -
I find her just standing staring into space.
But hey, I have moments like that too!!

She loves cuddles.
And the inside of the fridge.

Darling Rosie Mae
has accepted her with a roll of the eyes
and an air of canine resignation.

She's settled in so quickly that
I kinda feel that Susie-Cat (miss you, baby-girl)
has whispered into her ears that we're ok
and can be trusted to love and care for her.

What a sweet old lady, she is so lucky to have you as her new Mum, ensuring she will be perfectly cared for in her autumn years.

Lucky girl - she seems to have fallen on her feet with you! We always used to say there was a Cat Gazette which gave reports of vacancies and references for the prospective new slaves!! I hope you will all enjoy living together and that she will have several more happy years to spend with you.

Oh bless her. I'm so happy you took her on, most people would have thought twice about a seior cat with some health issues.
Well done Rosie for not minding, it'd be like an episode of "Tom and Jerry" here is we tried to introduce a cat!

Hi Kath, Rosie has learned that SOME cats are friends not food. How she manages to remember I don't know, but she does!

It's good to adopt an older cat, I'm often surprised that more people don't do this.
