Darcy's Postcard Challenge - New Zealand

The country set by Darcy
this week for her Postcard Challenge is
New Zealand.

I'm not loving my postcard this week
so don't worry about being nice
about it :/
It's my version of a wooden panel,
a traditional wood carving
depicting a Maori ancestor.
It was harder to draw than it looked!
Strangely, Lord James seems to like it......

Dear Ken,
I hope you're happy
that I returned 'the
Scream' - did you see
how much it sold for
at Auction?!
I'm in New Zealand,
enjoying some sight-
seeing and, in particu-
lar, the traditional
Maori Art, such as this
traditional wood carving
depicting a Maori ancestor.
I NEED one of these!
Bye for now, James.

It may not be your style, but I like it anyway You are your own worst critic! ha!

Lord James has very ecclectic tastes in art!

I love it! What's wrong with it? Great detail and very Maori style. :)

I swear I thought of you and your dastardly Lord Forsythe when I saw that on the news :D Now was that good timing on your part or did you know it was going up for sale? :D

Loving this postcard of yours again, whatchoo on about? So intricate!

Honestly! There's nothing wrong with your postcard..it looks like Maori art.
Loving how the story is developing too.

Really it's not an easy thing to draw..... I think you've done a good job. Maori man seems to be giving himself the 'thumbs up!'

Have a great BH!

No rain here YET, though it does look a bit grey.... oh well.....

btw, yes Barry is still happy.... and no his friends aren't all Chelsea fans! One of them supported Liverpool (!) and the others are Saints (Southampton) fans, still any excuse to watch football!!!! I think they may be coming round again in two weeks for some other 'big' game..... maybe the Champions League (?) but it all goes a bit over my head!!!!!

They were all very well behaved!!!!

Karenx

Love how James mentioned the Scream auction ( was it really the original or is he having a joke ?)

Super colours & patterns on your p'card which must have taken you ages !
Does James really have a Maori ancestor or is this another red herring ?

I think it turned out really well - it looks like it was a lot of work. I love the colors, and although that kind of native art isn't my thing, or yours probably, I think it's really well done...
