What's Rocking My World This Friday!

(Click the pic to play along)
Wow, November 9th already -
how did that happen?!

This week's rays of sunshine cutting though
the gloomy early mornings and short days are.....

***
Small Cat is eating!
The tests she had last week revealed
kidney problems, which isn't much of a
surprise considering her age (she's 15).
The vet hopes to manage this with a special
diet and so far she seems to quite like it.
However, she was given an appetite stimulant -
and that night she turned into a raging monster,
(think, Incredible Hulk/Gremlin/Chubb Chubb -
do you know the Chubb Chubbs?
This little film is one of my favourites...)

ripping the locked cat flap off her
bedroom door, and remember,
 SHE'S ONLY GOT 3 TEETH!

In the small hours of the morning, after a
very long day, Grant was having to
screw a large (unattractive) lump of
wood to the door to stop her getting out
and killing us all in our beds!!

Thankfully she had calmed down in the morning.

*
Grant, for being able to laugh at the
sight of a crazy cat, shredded cat flap
and demented wife in pj's when he returned
from work just after midnight.  The last thing he
wanted to be doing was scrabbling around in
the dark cold shed for lumps of wood,
drills and screws. But he did it with good
humour and I was so grateful for his support.

*
The colours of the leaves have been stunning.
When the sun comes out and shines through
them it is a truly magical view.

*
Cooked breakfast with Luke.
Luke was starting work a little bit later today
(he'll finish a bit later too) and he suggested that
he and I went out for a cooked breakfast.
I enjoyed chatting with him about nothing in
particular and he enjoyed me paying!

*
Rosie Mae, for being so gentle around Small Cat.
Gradually, our nervous little feline has relaxed
around our usually clumsy old canine.

I returned from shopping this morning to
find them BOTH sleeping soundly in the
sitting room - that's a first!

*
Hope, just for being her.

***
Time now for me to go and do some ironing, ugh!
I'll leave this post's link with Virginia and
visit the other Friday Rockers later.

Thank you for reading!

Hi Jo

Glad Small Cat is eating again and is becoming friends with Rosie.

Your breakfast with Luke sounds lovely.

I've just finished my ironing.... I don't mind ironing... I catch up with the programmes I watch but Barry doesn't... today I watched a really interesting programme about Hidcote.... inspired me to aspire to some gardening this weekend!!!

I just ordered an eco egg and tumbler balls on the exciting subject of laundry!!!!!

Have a great weekend

Love to you all

I had never even heard of the chub - chubs, Helena will love them! Well done Grant for rising to the occasion, what a hero. Rosie Mae looks very relaxed in her shot. We have just given Prince a marrow bone in the kitchen, the growly meter is rising. Have a lovely weekend Jo. xx

I'm really happy that small cat is eating and settled. She has been having a crazy time of it at yours.

It's nice going out for a cooked breakfast now and again, so much better than having to do it yourself.

What a beautiful, gentle girl Rosie Mae is, I wish I could stroke her, she's lovely!

Oh your night of demented cat sounds crazy - I couldn't help but giggle but I'm guessing it wasn't much fun at the time WTG DH Grant for sorting the door etc!

Glad she's calmed down and also glad that she's getting a little calmer around Rosie Mae!

Autumnal colours, fabulous conversations with offspring!

Hope you have a beautiful and blessed week ahead and that little cat is not quite so crazy this week.

Hugs
