Creative Abundance - week 2

Week 2 at 52 Weeks (Creative Abundance),
is all about what we are going to
'allow' ourselves to do.
We were encouraged to not 'overthink'
and I went with what first popped into my head
and completed the given sentence with.....
~ Today I am going to allow pause ~

We were then tasked to make a tag
to illustrate this.

(Today I am going to allow myself to pause)
I'm sure many of you can relate to the
busy-ness of daily life which I tried to show
with the busy background along with all
the thought bubbles abound me.

I know that sometimes I need to just stop.
No cooking, cleaning, ironing, reading,
arting, or even thinking about what I should be doing.
Just stop and pause.
Without guilt.
So that's what I'm going to do.

Once I've put away the Christmas decorations.... ;)

Come on, Jo, I bet you can think of a few other things if you try! Lovely tag! Valerie

Yessssss, it's the guilt part that I identify with too - crazy us - always trying to please everyone when really, doing what we want is part of what makes us who we are. Beautiful piece here - love the image - and message :)
And yes, SOC is gonna be a little different and very cool this year ;)

Love the tag, Jo, and the thought behind it.
The most difficult part is not thinking about what I should be doing,
All of those tasks have a way of sneaking into my mind.
enJOY a beautiful 2013,

Overload is a real problem. Very annoying when life interrupt playing.

Perfection, my oh-so-
talented friend! I've
still got the decoration
take down looming.
Except the tree, which
we will leave up, sans
decorations, for another
couple of weeks. We
love those twinking
lights during this dark
time of the year : )

Hope you get that moment
to "just be," soon!

Happy 2013,
xo Suzanne

Lovely new look to your blog Jo. Make sure you DO pause every now and then - it is on my list of "things to do".......

Being retired from a very busy job it has been difficult to adjust - without guilt! I still feel the need to be doing this that and the other.

You can put away the decorations on the's tradition. Today, relax. I'm going to do just that!

Oh and you say I'm bad LOL! Yes I must admit, stopping usually constitutes arting or crafting or definitely cleaning or tidying or hoovering or polishing - just stopping well that's something new - might try it myself!

First, it must be said, I am loving the new "look" of the blog. The Fiddlesnips font is perfection and I like the quilt motif too! Great change up for the new year.

Taking a moment for yourself, great theme and handled so well. Love the expression on the woman, although she seems a bit snooty to be you! Very rich background. Is all this really on one small tag? Great work, as usual!

Knowing that you're in another time zone ahead of me, I hope you've found that moment to stop and pause without guilt, and it's not bedtime! :-)

My sentiments exactly, all rolled up in your beautiful artwork. I have packed away Christmas. earlier this year, I needed some space to breath. A long list awaits me. I need to get some energy from somewhere, don't we just load it all on. Love your new header, I need to spruce my blog up too, yes it is on the list!

that is the best for ourselves - have breaks and time for daydreaming and to pause as often as we need to do!
That´s wellness for our souls...
and your creative tag is wellness for my artsy taste! LOL!
