Summer of Color - Week 2

It's Week 2 of Kristin's
and the given colour prompt was
Orange and Hot Pink.

(Fruit Salad)

Grumble grumble, I missed yesterday
morning's deadline for submitting my entry
but managed to finish it last night.

Those colours got me thinking about the
Fruit Salad chewy sweets I used to have
when I was a child - do you remember them?!
They were 4 for 1p!

Beautiful journaling!. How fun that you'd captured a lovely childhood memory here :).

My mouth is watering! Fruit Salad, Parma Violets, Black Jacks, Love Hearts and Milky Way - the sweets I'd choose from if I had 3p or less to spend!

Never mind Jo... better late than never. I only just got mine done on Saturday.

Oh yes Grant and I used to have these... and chocolate mice, shrimps and lots more!

I love your journal pages and the 'sweet' reminder!

Gorgeous pages again Jo :D

Love your pages and yes I loved going to the store as a kid and getting a little bag of candy cheap!! Love it! xx

MMMM sound like starburst chews which I used to love! Now they just get stuck in my teeth! Love the candy image. Is it a photo painted over? Looks like painted from scratch but the perspective is so spot on! Love, love , love the white scratchy outlines - adds great energy!

I can honestly say I've never heard of them - but what a perfect subject for this challenge, and I love them against the purple background. Great execution of them!

I haven't either - maybe it's a UK sweet? - either way, your page - as always - is just gorgeous. SO full of color and whimsey, xoxo

Oh yes I remember them. They were four for a penny too... as well as Black Jacks! I preferred the aniseed flavour of these to the fruit salad but they made the teeth go black which was not a pretty sight - unlike your journal. Great pages Jo.

We didn't have them here either. :) Love this spread though. Great use of the colours. I am struggling this week.
