Documented Life Project - Week 5

So it's Week 5 at the
and, so far, I'm keeping up :)
The January theme is
'The blank page and how to face it'.
This week's art challenge is to use Under Paper.
The journal prompt is 'What Lies Beneath'.

For the background I used some
painty-brayer-roll-off paper
which emerged following a Gelli print session.
I painted the clown (in acrylics) with his big wide grin
to symbolise the times in our lives when we stick a
smile on our faces even when we might be struggling
to keep all of life's balls in the air.

After all, who knows
'what lies beneath the painted smile?'

Thank you for looking!

I love this Jo. And the idea behind it. A page that really makes you pause to think.

Great job on the clown! And it works so well with the page as a whole.
